Cookie Policy

Last updated: 13 August 2026

This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on this website, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and how you can change your choices at any time. As a health technology company operating in the EU and the UK, we keep this website deliberately light on tracking: no health data is involved and no advertising cookies are set.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as browser local storage, which works in the same way for the purposes of this policy. Together they let a site remember your choices and, where you allow it, measure how the site is used.

2. Your consent

Only strictly necessary storage is set when you first arrive. Analytics and measurement cookies are loaded only after you accept them in the cookie banner, and are not set if you decline. This meets the consent requirements of the EU ePrivacy rules as implemented in Ireland and other member states, and of the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations read with the UK GDPR.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's cookies and local storage in your browser settings — the banner will then appear again on your next visit so you can choose differently. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out beforehand.

3. Strictly necessary storage

carerequest:cookie-consent — records your cookie choice so the banner is not shown repeatedly. Browser local storage, 12 months. Legal basis: necessary to provide the service you requested.

carerequest:lang — remembers the site language you selected. Browser local storage, 12 months.

Security and load-balancing cookies may also be set by our hosting and content-delivery provider for the duration of your session, to keep the site available and protect it from abuse.

These are required for the site to work as you expect and are not used for tracking.

4. Analytics and measurement (consent required)

When enabled, analytics cookies record aggregated usage — pages viewed, referring source, approximate location at country level, and whether an enquiry form was submitted — so we can measure which channels bring relevant partners to the site.

These are set only after you accept them. The specific providers, cookie names and durations in use will be listed in this section and kept current; if you need the position at a given date, email admin@carerequest.io.

5. Functional and third-party content

Some pages embed third-party content such as meeting scheduling or video. Where embedded content is loaded, the provider may set its own cookies under its own policy. We load such content only where it is needed for a feature you have asked to use.

6. No advertising cookies

This site does not set advertising or cross-site retargeting cookies, and we do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising. If this changes, this policy and the consent banner will be updated before any such cookie is set.

7. Browser controls

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and local storage from their settings menu, and offer a private browsing mode. Blocking strictly necessary storage may mean your language and cookie preferences are not remembered between visits.

8. Our embedded products and patient-facing flows

This policy covers this marketing website only. Where our software is embedded in a clinical software platform, pharmacy or GP system, storage set in that context is limited to what is strictly necessary to operate the request flow — for example session, security and consent state. We do not place analytics, advertising or profiling cookies in patient-facing embedded flows, and no health data is used for measurement.

In those deployments the healthcare provider or platform is the controller and its own cookie and privacy notices apply alongside our data processing agreement.

9. More information

For how we handle personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy. Questions about this policy can be sent to admin@carerequest.io.
